Start by unpacking all items. It is best to do so on a moving blanket or a soft surface. Organize all parts by type.

STEP 1: Side Rails

The feet will need to go together first followed by attaching them to the side rails.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next, tape off all the areas that may potentially come into contact with the side rails.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the feet are connected to the side rails, hold the side rail up to your boat and once the rail is aligned with your windshield use a small piece of tape to mark the position.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the desired position is achieved, place one of the backing plates over the piece of tape and trace around it with a permanent marker.

STEP 2: Transferring marks from the other side

This step is very important! After taping the second side of the boat in approximately the same areas as the first side you will need to measure the distance that you marked on the first side of the boat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is best to take measurements from the back of the boat and mark with blue tape.

Be sure to measure from the same point on both sides.

STEP 3: Drilling

Once you have marked your 4 holes, check the underside for wire.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If necessary, you should move the wires out of the way while you drill.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We recommend drilling a small pilot hole which will keep the 5/8” drill bit from walking (moving).

A small rat tail file can be used to ease the edge and keep the gel coat from chipping.

STEP 4: Attaching the side rails

Insert the four all thread screws into the side rail feet. The rubber washers will go between the outside of your boat and the tower feet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the inside of your boat will be the backing washer, and a nylock nut. If your fiberglass is less than 1/4” thick, you will need to reinforce the areas where your tower will need to purchase an Aerial backing plate kit. Remove just enough blue tape for your tower feet to snugged up to your boat.

Measuring from your windshield, check the distance to the side rail to make sure both sides are symmetric.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is very important that your side rails are mounted straight up and down. You will want to measure up about 12 inches and place a piece of tape. This piece of tape will come into play when you are mounting the switch blades.

STEP 5: Assembling the Switch Blade

Parts need
2- Threaded lap joints
2- Trim washers
2-shoulder bolts
1-clamps
1- Socket cap head screw
1-Lower base

-------------------------------------
NOTE: Switch blade takes longer shoulder bolts.
-------------------------------------

Start at the top of the switch blade, attach the trim washer, shoulder bolt and threaded lap joint.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Repeat this step for the lower section of the switch blade.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will need to then attach the lower base to the threaded lap joint, following this attach the clamp to the lower base (using the Stainless Steel cap head screw.)

We recommend that you remove the lower section of the clamp this will help you when you go to install it.

STEP 6: Front Arms and Switch Blade

Insert the hinge joint into the lower section of the front arm (repeat for the other side) be sure leave the set screws loose, some movement is necessary. Be sure to make sure that there are no burrs in the top-section (Some soap or grease will allow the arms to slide in easier). Someone will need to hold the top-section for you as you insert the front right arm into the top-section and fit the hinge into the side rail.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do the same for the left front arm. It is important to try to keep the top-section centered in the boat. Follow by inserting both rear switch blade, this is where your reference mark of 12 inches comes in play. Once the tower is in the up check the blades side to side to see that the angles match.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 7: Drilling the top-section

The X measurement is a great way to make sure that your tow point is in the center of your boat. To do this, measure from the tow point to your rear foot, then to your other foot. Cover your boat with an old sheet or old cover to make removing the metal shavings easy. Someone should hold the top-section while you drill.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Use a smaller bit to make a pilot hole, then use your 3/8” bit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This illustration is missing
After each hole is drilled, insert the nut and bolt to help keep the top-section from moving. Once all bolts are in, tighten them with a socket wrench and an Allen key.

Use a vacuum to to remove metal shavings.

STEP 8: Racks and Lock-Tite

To assembly the racks use the Stainless Steel cap head screw and attach them to the diamond plate. Then attach diamond plate to the switch blade.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When tightening all hardware and bolts be sure to use red lock-tite gel.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 9: Lowering the tower

You will need a second person to help you lower the tower! Did you purchase the quick release knobs? If so they will make this process very easy.

Loosen the upper shoulder bolt one full turn (or the quick release knob) the remove the lower shoulder from the switch blade. Repeat for the other side and the tower will lower straight down. Always tow you boat with the tower up.
